House of Bricks Reflection

 Hi this week we have had house of bricks and it was really fun building with all the bricks. My favourite Lego activity was the car racing because I got to make cars with my buddy Caleb. We used our ideas and got to design the cars.

My least favourite Lego activity was mosaic because it took so long to pull them o

ff and had to put all the blocks on the board.

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was passing the bricks because you really wanted yours to be like what you wanted but they got changed.

The most challenging activity was the tower one because it was hard to keep it balanced.

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because you can collaborate with your buddies and share ideas.

If school should be allowed junk food

Hi this week for writing we had to answer a question if we should be able to have junk food and here is why I recon we should we should have junk food

1. I recon we should have junk food because it gives you energy through out the day.

2. lollies before rugby for energy so you have a great day.

3. lollies before soccer for energy to score some goals.

4. lollies before netball for energy to block some people.

5. lollies before a bike ride for energy so you can do some jumps.

6.  you have to earn it like good school work and out door exercise.

Umbrella

Early one stormy morning, the door to Miss Elem’s Home for children opened fastly as the thunder got louder. The girl with the golden yellow umbrella stormed in and found a home for her golden umbrella. As the girl came in he quickly poked his head out the door so he was hidden from view. Standing off to the side, the girl stared at the happy scene as the children searched in the box for hidden treasures. The girl grinned as she watched the young boy racing round the room like an airplane. Quickly her smile faded as she looked to the umbrella stand and all she saw were puddles. Her umbrella disappeared.

Tumu birthday months

 This week we have done a statistical investigation and we had to do a chart about all the teams birthday  and Rātā April was the most and the least was Korokio July only ha 1 person and here are my charts with all the information.Then we had to make 2 graphs witch was fun when we had to count all the teams because we went in teams and all stood up and count each person every month and that was fun to and then made the graphs and took photos and put it on google drawings and link it on the task completion .

Margret Mahy Recount

 

When we went to Margaret Mahy we had four stations and my group went to Victoria square and it was really fun looking at all the different stuff like Victoria and captain cook statue and there was a big sail that was used for the Germans to come over and see new Zealand and there was also a telephone box and this really big water fountain and big Poe and there was one really cool water fountain and then we moved on to see the story behind Margaret Mahy playground and there used to be and playground before it and there were some cool patterns carved into the ground like footprints and a really cool song and we got to have a bit of a play then we moved to looking at all the traditional māori mats that were māori then moved onto feeding the eels an i didn't get and food off my spoon then we moved on to the last station which was the waka at first we learnt how to paddle with the ores and there were two boats and one was boys and the other were girls then we had to go back to school then go home.

This week in Maths we have been learning about rounding and compensating to solve addition subtraction here are some examples. What is your favorite strategies  in math? This is a really easy strategies  you just have to do the question then make one a tidy number then you plus the tidy number to the other number then what that equals you subtract what ever number you made a tidy number then subtract the other number with as much you plus on to make a tidy number.
